Who runs this site

This site is run by Docka Development OÜ, a company in Estonia, in the EU. The company is the data controller: it decides what data is collected here and why.

What we collect and why

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to see if anyone reads the site. Google sets cookies and collects usage data, such as the pages you view, your rough location (like your country) and your device and browser. We do not get your name.

You can block Google Analytics with your browser's tracker or cookie settings.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to see where visitors get stuck on the site. It records heatmaps, scrolls, clicks and session recordings (a replay of one visit). We run it in a cookieless mode: it sets no cookies and does not follow you from one visit to the next. Form fields and other inputs are masked, so what you type is not recorded.

Microsoft is our processor for Clarity and handles the data on our behalf. Docka Development OÜ is the controller. Our legal basis is legitimate interest: improving the site.

To object: turn on tracking protection or a tracker blocker in your browser, or send us a direct message (see Contact below) and we will act on it.

The tip jar (Stripe)

If you leave a tip, you pay through Stripe. The tip jar is run through Stripe by Docka Development OÜ, the company that runs this site. Stripe handles your payment data. This site never sees your card details. Stripe has its own rules: read Stripe's privacy policy.

Server logs

Our web server writes a short note for each visit: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time and your browser type (the “user agent”). We use these logs only to keep the site safe, for example to spot attacks.

Facebook and Instagram

This site has its own Facebook Page and Instagram account (@docka.signals). We post there through a Meta app. That app only publishes posts to our own accounts. It collects no data about you or anyone else.

No accounts, no forms, no newsletter. There is not much here to leak, which is the one area where this project is winning.

How long we keep it

• Google Analytics data: set to Google's standard retention period.
• Microsoft Clarity data: kept under Microsoft's Clarity terms.
• Server logs: kept for 14 days for security, then deleted automatically.
• Tip payments: Stripe keeps these under its own privacy policy.

We never sell your data. We never share it for ads.

Your rights

Under the EU data protection law (GDPR), you can ask us to:

• show you the data we hold about you (access),
• fix data that is wrong (correction),
• delete your data (deletion).

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon): www.aki.ee.
